As a studio session musician
I'm hired to work on recording projects for other musicians, artists, bands, and producers - I am hired to add electric keyboards, pianos, the Hammond B3 organ, multiple synths, computer plug-ins, vocals and background vocals.
I've worked extensively in recording studios in Atlanta, Ga., Charlotte, NC., Los Angeles, Ca., Nashville, Tn., and London, England.
I have a natural rock-bluesy-funky-R&B keyboard style but I'm competent on Country and Jazzy styles as well - using the Grand piano, Hammond B3 organ, Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzer electric piano, many Synths, sometimes Samplers, and many computer plug-ins - my work is well noted on many recordings and my concept is to play whatever the producer and I think is needed for a particular recording - I like to think that I am well rounded, with touch and feel!
I can be heard on recordings from rock legend Ted Nugent, Southern rockers 38 Special, disco rock legend Alicia Bridges, to the legendary folk singer Joan Baez - as well as Blues/Jazz Diva Francine Reed and many blues albums for the legendary and now defunct Ichiban Records blues artists.
As well as doing my work in an actual physical studio, these days it can be easier and cost effective to record remotely, and it works like this - I receive your WAVE, AIFF, or MP3 files (via dropbox/yousendit) and in my home studio, I then get your ideas of what you want, then I record my keyboard parts using a variety of real keyboards and plug-ins, and then send you back a WAVE or AIFF for your approval! We discuss my work (we can talk by phone or set up a Skype call if we need live picture for a more accurate direction) and I usually give up to two free corrections, but I'll definitely work on your project until you're satisfied. It's really a very simple process!
