Steve on B3-2-300x300Mose Jones 1

I joined and recorded the Southern Rock band Mose Jones. We were signed to MCA / Sounds of the South Records and produced and managed by musician legend Al Kooper - toured the US playing concerts, rock clubs, events, and music festivals. We recorded two albums: "Get Right" and "Mose Knows"

Mose Steve 3-3-300x300Mose Jones 2

Re-formed Mose Jones in 1978 - we composed and recorded songs, and along with Tad Bush and Buddy Buie, we produced and recorded two albums for RCA / BGO Records. The "Blackbird" album was released in 1978. Our second album was never released by RCA - but in 2013 we released our Mose Jones "Lost/Found" CD, which can be found on Big Coffee Records

BMI_ComposerAs a BMI songwriter and composer, I have been actively writing songs and composing music since my early teens. My songs have been recorded & performed by many including: "Mose Jones",  "IF",  "Atlanta Rhythm Section", "Java Monkey", the TV show "Just the 10 of Us", and European releases by a German band. My instrumental compositions used to be heard on "Delta Airlines" boarding music list.

Currently I'm writing smooth jazz, contemporary jazz flavored R&B, club or house music, and music with a pop sound - as well as New Age "healing and relaxing" music at Healing Force Music. Projects that are forthcoming will be released on independent record label Big Coffee Records!

ARS Alien 45 - 2-600x604Co-wrote the Top 40 song "Alien", (with Buddy Buie and Randy Lewis) - the song was originally recorded by Mose Jones for our 2nd RCA album but never released. But later that year, Alien was recorded by the Atlanta Rhythm Section for their Quinella album. I also played keys and provided back-ground vocals along with Ronnie Hammond on the recording. "Alien" was re-recorded and released on ARS's later Album entitled "Partly Plugged".

The Mose Jones version can now be found on our "Lost / Found" CD released in 2013 on Big Coffee Records.
