BMI Song Writer
As a BMI songwriter and composer, I have been actively writing songs and composing music since my early teens. My songs have been recorded & performed by many including: "Mose Jones", "IF", "Atlanta Rhythm Section", "Java Monkey", the TV show "Just the 10 of Us", and European releases by a couple of German groups. My instrumental compositions used to be heard on "Delta Airlines" boarding music list.
Currently I'm writing smooth jazz, contemporary jazz flavored R&B, club or house music, and music with a pop sound - as well as New Age "healing and relaxing" music. These are projects that are forthcoming and to be released on my independent record label Big Coffee Records!
Top 40 Song - Alien
I co-wrote the Top 40 song "Alien", (with Buddy Buie and Randy Lewis) - the song was originally recorded by Mose Jones for our 2nd RCA album but never released. But later that year, Alien was recorded by the Atlanta Rhythm Section for their Quinella album. I also played keys and provided back-ground vocals along with Ronnie Hammond on the recording. "Alien" was re-recorded and released on their later CD / Album entitled "Partly Plugged".
